Whilst performing flight NH-816 from Kuala Lumper to Tokyo Narita with 203 passengers and 11 crew the aircraft was climbing through FL280 when the crew stopped the climb due to the Exhaust Gas Temperature on the number 2 engine showing as abnormally high. The aircraft diverted to Kuala Lumper. The crew shut the engine down. |
