Whilst performing flight BI-684 from Manila to Bandar Seri Begawan with 152 passengers and 11 crew the crew stopped the climb after the number 1 engine (left hand side) failed, and was shutdown. The aircraft returned to Manila on Runway 24 some 50 minutes later. The flight was cancelled. After inspecting the left hand engine it was replaced, they checked the right hand engine (number 2) and found it too was about to fail. A further Baroscopic inspection confirmed the need to replace both engines. This prompted the inspection of all RR Trent 1000 engines throughout the Dreamliner fleet. Aircraft is grounded
